25/12/2016 Pte. William Wilson Wilson, Private William, Australian Imperial Force, killed on 3rd July, son of Mr James, Wilson, Dunglady, Upperlands. The chaplain of the battalion, writing to his father says that the gallant young soldier was struck in the head with a bomb, which killed him instantaneously. Private Wilson emigrated to Australia about twelve years ago. Shortly after the outbreak of war he joined the Australian forces.

10/12/2016 PO Joseph Donnelly Mr Thomas Donnelly, 77 Alexandria Park Avenue, received official intimation from the Admiralty yesterday that his second son, Petty Officer Joseph Donnelly, Royal Navy Air Service, (R.N.A.S.) (Armoured Car Section), was accidentally drowned in Russia on 11th June.

05/12/2016 Lieut Robert McCahon Lieutenant Robert McCahon, Royal Engineers, son of Mr John McCahon, Kilrea, who was recently wounded, has arrived home on sick furlough. Lieutenant McCahon was prominently identified with the Ulster Volunteer Force before joining the Army.

02/12/2016 R/man Thomas McBride Mr John McBride of Muckrim, Toomebridge, has received official intimation that his eldest son, Private Thomas McBride, Royal Irish Rifles, has been killed in action. The deceased, who was 25 years of age and most popular in the Toome district, enlisted in the Ulster Division in September 1914.
