The 1911 census lists Samuel as living with his wife and child at house 18 in Ballysnod, Kilwaughter, County Antrim. Samuel was a bricklayer’s labourer. |

Samuel Lyttle was the eldest son of William and Elizabeth Lyttle. William Lyttle and
Elizabeth Hazlett were married on 23rd October 1888 in the district of Magherafelt. Elizabeth had been married previously. |

Samuel Lyttle fought in World War One, and survived the Battle of the Somme in 1916. He served with the Devonshires. |
