19/03/2016 Private Robert McCracken is commemorated on a plaque in Upperlands Protestant Hall.
19/03/2016 Robert had just arrived back on the front line on New Year’s Eve following a spell in hospital. He was hit by a shell splinter and was killed instantly.

18/01/2016 Private Robert McCracken is buried in Hyde Park Corner (Royal Berks) Cemetery. Hyde Park Corner Cemetery is located twelve kilometres south of Ypres town centre in Belgium.
18/01/2016 Private Robert McCracken was serving with the 10th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action in Belgium on 1st July 1917. He was 25 years old.
