Mrs John O’Kane, Tergarvil, Upperlands, has received intimation that his son, Private James O’Kane, Irish Guards, who about a year ago was gassed at the front, has died from the effects in a hospital in Glasgow. He was married and a wife and four children depending upon him. Private O’Kane was a member of Tergarvil Division No. 171 A.O.H. and was highly thought of amongst the members of the Order. He enlisted shortly after the war commenced. His wife resides in Glasgow. |
