The War Office has notified Mrs Rose Ann Barber, who, with her two children, is at present stopping at the home of her father, Mr Joseph Mullen, Tyanee, Portglenone, that her husband, Private Barber, of the 7th Lancashire Fusiliers, has been killed in action at the Dardanelles.
Private John James Barber has no known grave and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial in Gallipoli.
