Stewart O'Fee was the eldest son of Stewart and Jane O'Fee (nee McIntyre). He was born in Kilrea on 2nd May 1878. His father was a grocer in Kilrea. Stewart O’Fee served in the Royal Navy as a naval schoolmaster during the First World War. Warrant Schoolmaster Stewart O’Fee served with H.M.S. Vivid. He died of illness on 13th March 1920. HMS Vivid was a shore establishment in Devonport. He was 41 years old.

Stewart O’Fee enlisted with the Royal Navy on 7th August 1903, signing up for twelve years.
His mother died on 20th June 1909, aged 61 years. His father died 24th May 1911, aged 62 years. Both dates were taken from the family headstone.
