James O’Donnell was born in Newbridge, Creagh, Magherafelt. James O’Donnell enlisted in Belfast. He was livening in Antrim. Private O’Donnell was with the Connaught Rangers for a time. (No 4168). Private James O’Donnell was serving with 7/8th Battalion of Princess Victoria's (Royal Irish Fusiliers) when he was killed in action on Saturday 18th August 1917.
