John Hunter was the son of Edward Hunter. He was born in Bellaghy, County Londonderry about 1871. He was the husband of Elizabeth Hunter. John enlisted in Glasgow. Private John Hunter was serving with the 15th Battalion of the Royal Scots when he was killed in action on Monday 22nd October 1917. He was 46 years old.
