Summary      
Manus Cushley was the youngest son of Patrick and Jane Cushley. He was born on 16th February 1888. He was the youngest of at least eleven children, all born in the Bellaghy area. Sometime between 1901 and 1911 the family changed their name to Costello. Manus was a tailor. Manus Costello was living in Omagh when he enlisted in Londonderry. Private Manus Alexander Costello was serving with the 7th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action on the 7th June 1917 near Ypres.

Manus Cushley was the youngest son of Patrick and Jane Cushley. Patrick Cushley and Jane Scullion were married on 28th August 1865 in the district of Magherafelt.
Manus Cushley was born on 16th February 1888. He was the youngest of at least eleven children, all born in the Bellaghy area.

Private Manus Alexander Costello was serving with the 7th Battalion of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers when he was killed in action on the 7th June 1917 near Ypres. He was 28 years old.

Private Manus Costello, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, son of Mr Patrick Costello, Bellaghy, County Derry, killed in action.
Private Manus Alexander Costello is buried in La Laiterie Military Cemetery, Belgium.
Private Manus Costello is commemorated locally on Castledawson War Memorial.
