Cyril Edmund Vincent McGlade was the youngest son of Patrick and Kate McGlade. Patrick McGlade was a general merchant. He owned a store in Knockloughrim Cabragh area. Vincent was the youngest of eight children. Vincent obtained a degree in dental surgery. He served with the Royal Army Dental Corps in World War Two. Captain Cyril Edmund Vincent McGlade died on 23rd December 1944.
