Summary      
Hugh Brolly was the son of Hugh and Ellen Brolly. Hugh was born near Draperstown about 1877. The 1901 census does not list Hugh as living with family at house 6 in Cloughfin, Bancran, County Londonderry. His father was a farmer. Private Hugh Brolly was serving with the 12th Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry when he died on Sunday 26th September 1915. He was 38 years old and married to Ellen Brolly. Private Brolly has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial. The memorial stands in Dud Corner Cemetery in Pas-de-Calais, France.
